I am a hands-on technology executive with a passion for Cloud Computing and cloud products. My skill set enables me to build large scale cloud infrastructure solutions as well as the creation and management of DevOps and data engineering teams. As a cloud infrastructure & operations domain expert, I am trying to develop better ways to deliver cloud services. On the business side, I am keenly interested in business model innovation and platform business models.
I am also a polymath, a perpetual learner, and a macro thinker with a big picture perspective. I spend much time studying complexity and the challenges it presents on the path to solving impactful recurrent problems. I apply both analysis and synthesis to scale my understanding from the component level to the system level.
I got into computing by teaching myself how to program in the Basic language using a Sharp MZ-700 computer which I bought in 1983 with my pocket money. That experience led to a long career during which I selectively worked on a variety of roles in the software field.
I have lived and worked in several different cities and countries before moving to Canada. I have been living and working in Toronto Canada since 1998.
I want to help companies looking for enterprise-scale cloud solutions by developing and executing cloud infrastructure & operations programs from start to finish. I have expert-level capabilities in the areas of cloud infrastructure & operations, DevOps, databases, and data engineering. Click the button below to see a list of my expertise.
I generally have a sense of what will work and what will not in the longer run. That sense of clarity is at the foundation of my futuristic vision which drives me to stay on top of the emerging technology trends.
